West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Laboratory is seeking a Surgical Pathologists' Assistant Professor.

The position is a full-time, faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the Professional Programs Clinical/Health Sciences Educator, non-tenure track. As a faculty member of the WVU School of Medicine, duties will include grossing, performing intraoperative consultations, and instruction of residents and Pathologists' Assistant students. This is a new position that will join the current 4 Pathologists' Assistants working at our Morgantown, WV locations. The main focus of this position is Surgical Pathology working at the Ruby Memorial Hospital location. This location will manage approximately 38,000 surgical specimens during 2022. Additional responsibilities include teaching in the master's level Pathologists' Assistant Program, which is a two-year, NAACLS accredited, MHS program. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

Successful candidates are required to have a Master's degree in Health Sciences, be a graduate of a NAACLS accredited training program, and be certified by ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology). A minimum of 1 years' experience is preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.
