Job Summary
Duties include recruiting, scheduling, coordination of team travel, camp and clinic development, and interaction with student¬ athletes and staff management and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Budget management is expected.
Scope
Head Coach of Men's and Women's Bowling will be responsible to start the two programs and prepare for competition in the '23-24 academic year.
Principal Responsibilities
Head Coach of Men's and Women's Bowling. Secondary responsibilities will include game administration within the department and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
The head coach will work on a daily basis with the following areas in the athletic department - compliance, game operations, strength and conditioning, athletic training, academic counseling and athletic communications
This position will also have regular interaction with a number of on-campus groups including admissions, business office, academic counseling, and student affairs
The head coach will be asked to be active with community service projects
This could include working in tandem with the local bowling alley in support of youth programs, bowling leagues, and the overall promotion of bowling in the Ada area
Candidates will be responsible for monitoring the bowling budget
All plans for travel and purchasing equipment fall under the responsibility of the head coach
This position requires the ability to recruit potential student-athletes
The head coach is responsible for monitoring the academic progress of all student-athletes on the team and working with various constituencies across campus to ensure that student-athletes receive proper academic counseling and assistance
All practice and game preparation falls under the direction of the head coach
The head coach is responsible for the implementation of lineups, strategies, etc., and will be the lead coach at all competitions
The head coach will direct and evaluate any assistant coaches
This position could require other assignments as assigned by the athletic director
These could include fundraising, game management, and representing the athletic department at various functions

- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience coaching Bowling
- Experience coaching intercollegiate tennis
- Ability to manage 2 programs along with an assistant coach
