JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Outreach's Penn State Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) Finance Office is seeking a Hiring Coordinator (Administrative Coordinator 3) to join our fast-paced team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Work in a partnership to coordinate and support the hiring of part-time staff for multiple units across Outreach. This includes posting jobs, hiring candidates, add jobs, supplemental pays, and terminations.

Ensure clearances, motor vehicle, and educational check is complete before employee work.

Collaborate with various partners across the University to successfully hire candidates during the high-volume timeframe (March - August).

This position will be responsible for entering information into WorkLion and Workday (Penn State's Human Resource system).

Track part-time hiring statuses for managers to review

Communicate with various people at all levels, provide assistance, answer questions, problem solve, and resolve pay issues.

Handle any pay issues and Labor Distribution in SIMBA as needed or assigned

Staying up to date on processes in Workday/WorkLion and the HR realm to ensure compliance and correctness.
Education and Experience:
This position typically requires an Associate's Degree or higher plus 3 years of related experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent skills in data entry, coordinating and communicating various data, dealing with a variety of customers, both internal and external, and process improvement. The ability to manage multiple projects, excellent communication skills, general computer knowledge, attention to detail, teamwork, and organization are critical to the Hiring Coordinator's success. Knowledge of Penn State's hiring process, WorkLion/WorkDay and SIMBA are desired. We value candidates who are forward thinking, open-minded and flexible. You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with diverse audiences. .
