Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Provides administrative and clerical support to assigned location, department, college and/or unit. Develops, maintains and ensures compliance of department records. Assists with budgetary matters, tracks department funds and purchasing. Compiles reports and monitors assigned projects and/or program components. May supervise assigned clerical staff and/or student assistants. May maintain the assigned location's Purchasing Card (PCard), cash and/or credit card usage and processes.

  • Assists with assigned area administrative and clerical duties
  • Maintains email, voicemail boxes and filing system
  • Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing mail
  • Manages supply inventory and submits invoices for payment
  • May maintain department purchasing card (PCard), cash and/or credit card**
  • Prepares department meeting agendas, meeting notes and distributes accordingly
  • Assists with projects and event support
  • Creates and maintains office related records and reports
  • Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating reports, policies and procedures
  • Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day office operations
  • May supervise assigned staff and/or student assistants
  • 1. Analyzes issues that have proven problematic and develops effective strategies for new initiatives and provides support and direction to achieve results
  • 2. With the Director, defines project objectives, develops plans, and monitors progress
  • 3. Provides guidance and support to Area Coordinators
  • 4. Creates and maintains a hiring action plan with Human Resources to develop a streamlined system to hire artist models. Creates online forms for full-time and part-time faculty to schedule diverse models. Works with Area Coordinators to facilitate modeling assignments.
  • Ensures models are effectively entering their schedules; follows through with faculty to determine effectiveness of modeling assignments
  • 5. Drives ongoing initiative that involves a forensic audit of all classes in each discipline
  • 6. Pilots initiative that monitors every student enrolled in classes to determine decisions made that have affected progression
  • 7. Identifies critical path decisions and communicates to Scheduling Initiative stakeholders (Area Coordinators, Advisors, Students). Audits records to help determine how many sections of each class need to be scheduled in any given semester, based on disciplinary enrollment data
  • 8. Works with the Director and Assistant Director of SOAAD for the continuity of process flow and action items determined to support student progression and retention. Example, audits determine curricular issue that have delayed progression and retention. Works with Director, Assistant Director, and Area Coordinators to determine curricular fixes to improve student retention, progression, and graduation rates.
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related administrative, office or clerical experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
Previous experience with office management or staff supervision
Previous experience in higher education

Proposed Salary

The budget for this for this position is $13.58- $25.22
Offers will be based on candidate experience and budget availability.

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

Knowledge of basic accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures
Basic understanding of budgets

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
