Social and Digital Strategist

Public Affairs

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has many stories to tell. From Nobel Prize-winning theories to biomedical innovations to the birthplace of special education and accessibility standards, we have a 150+ year tradition as a place where people refuse to accept "that's just how it is" as a suitable reason to stop asking hard questions. This is a university that forces the world to redefine the word "impossible" on a regular basis. The Public Affairs team at Illinois leads that storytelling through many channels, including digital and social media.

We're looking for someone with creativity and talent to help our strategic digital and social media efforts both in Public Affairs and in colleges and units across campus. Our digital advertising and strategy has expanded significantly, and this position will work with our social and digital team to execute and build campaigns that effectively reach our target audiences and advance our university goals of recruitment, advancement and other campus priorities. This position will help shape the digital narrative we tell and play an integral role in developing the creative campaigns that move the university forward.
