Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Produce Visual Design and Multimedia standards and guidance to be employed across teams in all colleges
  • Partner with other Lead roles in Standards & Practices to ensure Visual Design and Multimedia guidance aligns with our goals as a student-centric university
  • Champion and advocate for Visual Design and Multimedia standards and guidance across colleges, for both the Design & Development teams and the Academic teams
  • Model an iterative, flexible, understanding approach to determining standards and guidance
  • Prepare a scalable system of Visual and Multimedia standards and guidance that empowers our partner teams to make delightful learner experiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years+ Visual Design, Graphic, and Multimedia experience; or 10 years+ Visual Design, Graphic, and Multimedia experience; your portfolio should be relevant to education and should shine
  • 3 - 5 years+ in Mural, Figma, Sketch, and/or other modern collaboration and visual design applications, Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects along with other multimedia applications
  • Experience in Higher Education program and course design: you should be able to root your creative decisions in learning theory principles
  • Proof of a strong consultative background
  • Agile and lean design approach experience
  • Highly organized and a strong communicator (you'll pitch designs frequently!)
  • Motion (video, animation) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mobile learning and online learning
  • Ability to lead creative workshops
