Position Highlights

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jason Karnes in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Karne's laboratory conducts research in precision medicine, focused on cardiac and immuno-pharmacogeneomics. We employ clinical and translational research approaches to determine genetic variation associated with efficacy and safety of widely prescribed medications. Work will include assessment of genomic signals in drug response through genome-wide association studies (GWAS). Researchers with both PhD and MD/PharmD training as particularly well-suited for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or professional doctorate with prior research training/experience in genomics, pharmaceutics or a related discipline.
  • Team player, as well as an independent researcher.
