Job Description

Serves as the Admissions Coordinator for all aspects of veterinary admissions, including: pre-vet advising and training of advisors; serving as the chief recruitment officer by traveling to various educational institutions to present information about the College and its programs to attract quality students, including those from underrepresented and underserved populations; manages and trains the Admissions Ambassadors and Student Ambassadors in the DVM program; coordinates and facilitates DVM admissions interviews; coordinate and facilitates accepted students visit days; is fluent in technologies used for scheduling and virtual information, interview, and application review sessions; functioning as an integral part of the Academic Affairs Staff through planning of and participation in recurring events throughout the year; performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Admissions and provides additional support to theAssistant Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of admissions policies and practices; ability to analyze transcripts, manage databases, ability to review data to make evidence based decisions, and produce detailed, reports; excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to learn and effectively use technology; strong public speaking skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in related field. Previous experience in the admissions process for higher education; experience interacting with and managing students; experience interacting and working with faculty and other staff in higher education; knowledge of and experience with the veterinary profession
