Visiting Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Music
The Amherst College Department of Music invites applications for a full-time, two-year visiting appointment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor from artists, scholars, and teachers whose work centers on the creative and social dimensions of digital audio production and studio practices in popular music, with the appointment to begin on July 1, 2023.
Within the last decade, Amherst College has profoundly transformed its student body in terms of socioeconomic status, race, and nationality, among other areas. Our expectation is that the successful candidate will excel at teaching and mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual identity, and religion. They will also thrive in the interdisciplinary context of a vibrant liberal arts college.
