Position Highlights
The University of Arizona's College of Applied Science & Technology (CAST) is a National Security Agency (NSA) designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) and an Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) designated Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC-CAE). CAST is seeking a Limited Term Adjunct Instructor who will teach undergraduate courses within our Applied Computing program. Duties & Responsibilities
Adjunct
instructors are required to attend meetings and submit materials as
requested throughout the term of appointment.
Develop/prepare
course syllabi, assignments, and activities for course delivery.
Prepare and
deliver course lectures/workshops.
Critique and
grade student assignments and examinations.
Maintain regular
in-person or virtual office hours and/or be available to students by
appointment.
Additional
duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cyber Operations, Cybersecurity,
Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information
Technology, or a closely related field. - Experience with Networking Protocols and Principles
- Experience in Routing and Switching
- Experience with Network Security Principles and
Vulnerabilities - Experience in Systems Administration
- Experience with Cloud Computing
- Experience with Incident Response and Disaster
Recovery
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D./D.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a related field such as Cyber Operations or Cybersecurity is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated prior online teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Specific background and experience in web design and programming.
