Job DescriptionCreative Video Producer
Boston College is seeking a Creative Video Producer charged with
producing dynamic digital content for the Boston College Division of
Intercollegiate Athletics. Reports to the Assistant AD for
Marketing and Fan Engagement, this position is responsible for shooting and editing
of original content for BCEagles.com and on BC's various social media platforms
along with potential in-venue and broadcast content for ACC Network. This
position will be responsible for the entire video production process, including
creative strategy, storyboarding, capturing and editing.
Role will provide much-needed content
for Boston College's athletics website and social media channels in addition to
providing external media outlets footage of BC's student-athletes and coaches
to help promote the athletic department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produces and edits feature content for BC Athletics teams for use
on social media, web and in-venue
Push content to external media
outlets to help gain awareness for BC Athletics
Produces highlights, game previews, and promotional videos for
website and social channels
Ideate and pitch video platforms and
content pieces in weekly editorial meetings
Develop creative with digital views
and engagement as the main objectives of the content
Create and edit high quantity of
short form video pieces
Maintain a production schedule of
approximately 1 video per day on average, 365 days a year
Maintain video archive
Research and develop new strategies
for in all areas of digital video (Content Creation, Publishing, Equipment)
Assist in maintaining video postings
on BCEagles.com, YouTube channel, and on Social Media
Produces and edits video content for game recaps and development
pieces.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in producing sporting events and production experience
for feature videos required.
Advanced knowledge of non-linear
editing (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro preferred)
Experience with DSLR and Cinema-style
cameras
Working knowledge of Adobe After
Effects
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
and Illustrator
Lighting and set design
Ability to handle multiple projects
at a time with tight deadlines
Be creative, innovated and original
Pays attention to detail
Ability to work in independently and
in groups is a must
Ability to work long hours, evenings,
weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to lift heavy
equipment is required
