Position Highlights

The Email Marketing & Web Content Manager in the University of Arizona Health Sciences Office of Communications is responsible for managing and executing email communications including event campaigns and newsletters, as well as maintaining and publishing new content for the UArizona Health Sciences websites in support of Health Sciences brand marketing strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops an email communications strategy to identify proper approaches to increase audience awareness, engagement, retention and growth.
  • Manages email campaigns and newsletters, including setup, testing, deployment and engagement, and partners with with various internal stakeholders to optimize email content.
  • Manages multiple mailing lists including both internal and external constituents.
  • Reviews approved website content prior to publication using a Content Management System (CMS), including ensuring all website pages are tagged with relevant keywords and themes according to existing taxonomy drawn from brand and content objectives. Compiles analytics and generates reports on engagement.
  • Manages a process for identifying out-of-date web content to ensure timely revisions and long-term brand alignment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CMS, preferably Drupal.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS).
  • Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions tied to brand strategies.
  • Ability to present technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with strategic initiative program stakeholders and manage multiple projects.
  • Practical knowledge and expertise of concepts, principles, and practices of visual content production, a general understanding of related disciplines, and general management principles.
  • Problem-solving skills involving analysis and interpretation, and innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to review the effectiveness of visual content projects and production, and ability to make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with email marketing and marketing automation platforms such as Trellis / Marketing Cloud and Eventbrite / Mailchimp

* Demonstrated understanding of email marketing best practices.
