The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Muhlenberg College invites applications for a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology, for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years. We seek a broadly trained sociologist (Ph.D. in Sociology or Ph.D. candidates in Sociology) with demonstrated experience teaching Introduction to Sociology. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience teaching courses in quantitative methods in Sociology and core subfields in Sociology not currently represented in the program's curriculum. As part of the College's sequential approach for the health and safety of our campus community, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required upon hire (absent an approved medical or religious exemption). Schedule, Benefits & Housing: This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, faculty position for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years with a teaching load of three courses per semester, each fall and spring.
