Franklin University invites applicant for a part-time 12-month, Program Chair member for its Exercise Science Program. The position will require daytime availability and will work 24 hours weekly. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio. Preference will be given to candidates who will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely with a commitment to be onsite as needed. 

Responsibilities include: course development; teaching; administrative oversight of courses; hiring, mentoring and managing adjunct faculty; promoting teaching effectiveness; networking and participation in the professional community; and University service/committee work. Faculty members work in collaboration with instructional designers and other members of the faculty to create adult-centered active-learning courses. 

The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in Exercise Science from a regionally accredited college or university or a Master's degree and at least 3 years of previous experience in an Exercise Science related field. Prior online teaching experience at a college or university and curriculum development experience are highly preferred.
