Franklin University invites applicants for a full-time, year-round position of Program Chair, Public Administration. This individual will oversee the Masters in Public Administration and the Bachelor of Science in Public Administration programs in an environment focused on teaching working adults. Franklin University is a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio. Preference will be given to candidates who will work an onsite hybrid schedule, but consideration will be given to candidates who work remotely with a commitment to be onsite as needed. 

Responsibilities include oversight of courses across the programs, teaching assigned courses, and hiring, mentoring, and managing adjunct faculty. Other responsibilities include scheduling and staffing of courses, and University service/committee work. Faculty members work in collaboration with instructional designers and other members of the faculty to create adult-centered active-learning courses. 

The Program Chair position requires a Doctorate in Public Administration or a closely related field of study. Prior online teaching experience at a college or university and curriculum development experience are highly preferred.
