Job Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a Temporary Full-Time Visiting Instructor. Candidates with demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in remedial and pre-calculus level mathematics courses are encouraged to apply.

This position requires Master's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related discipline with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate level mathematics coursework by the date of hire.

The job responsibilities of the Visiting Instructor of Mathematics will include teaching remedial and pre-calculus level mathematics courses with a variety of pedagogical approaches and participating in course planning and training. Teaching will be the primary duty with some administrative responsibilities involving the supervision of graduate teaching assistants.
