Position Highlights
The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is accepting applications for one or more Adjunct Lecturers to teach courses in-person and online. These are part-time non-tenure eligible positions for the Fall and/or Spring semesters of academic year 2022-23. The rate of pay for this position is $110,010 annually and will be prorated by FTE. Your teaching load may make you become eligible for benefits if you work a .50 FTE or greater for 90 days or longer. As courses and loads are determined, we will notify employees should they gain benefits eligibility. Hiring will depend on availability of funding and course enrollments.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach approximately 1-7 classes (1-22 units) per academic year
- Maintain gradebook on D2L and hold office hours for students
- Administer and grade assignments and exams
- Prepare lectures and other course materials
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Head
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching biology courses at the university-level (online or face-to-face)
- Learning Management System Experience (D2L,Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
- Completion of a Quality Matters online training
- History of professional development activities for online teaching and/or course design
- Proficient experience with online communication software, such as Zoom
