Job Description Summary

Produces College payroll and prepares governmental reports (941, ESC reports, W2’s, State Taxes).

Duties

  1. Processes College payroll.
  2. Deposits federal and state payroll taxes.
  3. Prepares and submits quarterly and annual governmental reports.
  4. Prepares W2’s for employees.
  5. Maintains other payroll deduction accounts (ASHP, 9PT, 9NPT).
  6. Maintains payroll files and reviews PSAs.
  7. Sends direct deposit files and uploads paychecks to Core Banking.
  8. Performs longevity calculations and calculates separating employee payouts.
  9. Provides information to the Business Office for NCCCS State Funds Reporting.
  10. Performs wage verifications.
  11. Maintains all non-benefit payroll deductions.
  12. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
  13. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
  14. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)

  1. Must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Accounting;
  2. Must have at least three years of full-time or equivalent experience processing payroll.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working at a NC community college.
  2. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Total Compensation: $79,521Your total compensation goes beyond this maximum salary.
