The Utah Tech University seeks an EAB / Navigate Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator oversees the implementation, maintenance, and development of EAB Navigate, while regularly communicating its impact on student success and retention with university staff, faculty, and administrators. Coordination of the project includes oversight of the promotions, training, platform technology, mobile app content, and involvement in planning student success initiatives related to the available tools within the Navigate platform. In addition to being the team leader for the Navigate Advisory Committee, this position participates in the development of policies pertaining to the usage of Navigate. Must be a strong collaborator and communicator, with a high level of accountability and strong ability to balance feedback from many stakeholders to facilitate improvement. The coordinator serves as the primary contact for Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other student support units for Navigate-related training, feature enhancements, functions, workflow reports, and analytics.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time professional staff (overtime-exempt) position. Annual salary of $45,000+ depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of November/December 2022. Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for workflow, troubleshooting, and process improvements associated with Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other student support units using EAB Navigate.
- Manage and monitor the integrity of the system, including the areas of primary data management, workflow, and analytics reporting. The coordinator will, in turn, be responsible for addressing with EAB's dedicated consultant any issues with the system. Partner with the Office of Student Records, Office of Institutional Effectiveness, and Enrollment, as appropriate to validate and improve management reporting that can be used in support of college-specific retention and student success strategies, as well as overall institution-wide retention and student success goals.
- Develop strategies for communication campaigns for students and faculty.
- Participate in various committees to establish policies for the usage of Navigate.
- Lead the Navigate Advisory Committee and implementation teams consisting of application administration, promotion, training and content management.
- Support initiatives and opportunities that provide greater coordination of interventions and outreach to at-risk student populations across our campus.
- Prepare and deliver multiple training opportunities for faculty and staff.
- Work collaboratively with IT and EAB to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Assemble and consult a student advisory group with regard to Navigate content and process improvement.
- Serve on the Advisement/Student Affairs Collaboration Committee and manage the implementation of Navigate-related initiatives proposed by the committee.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships that reflect courtesy, civility, and mutual respect.
- Build productive relationships with internal and external constituencies.
- Utilize coaching and mentoring methods which provide an environment that is anticipatory, supportive, and encourages constructive feedback on performance.
- Commit to organizational improvement by identifying opportunities to improve, and recommending possible alternatives for a situation.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Three years' project management experience, with at least one year of direct experience in higher education, required.
- Demonstrated understanding of factors that lead to student success in the current environment of higher education.
- Knowledge of current pedagogical practices, especially high-impact practices and experiences, and early-alert strategies.
- Knowledge in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound judgment, including sensitivity to personal and confidential information.
- Strong customer service skills in working with a diverse community.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, while also contributing to collaborative efforts within a team environment.
- Demonstrated punctuality, accountability, thoroughness, and resourcefulness.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Direct experience with the Navigate APP platform or comparable Student Success technology tool.
- Direct experience facilitating process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with sophisticated software programs, including desktop database applications.
- Familiarity with Banner, Slate, Degree Works, or other Enterprise Data Management Systems.
