Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: This position teaches 12 credit hours per semester with four of those credits (generally one course) as release time to coordinate the Public Administration Program. Program coordination includes recruitment, retention, course and instructor scheduling, curriculum review and revision. Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and academic advising. This is a campus-based position.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Public Administration or closely related field.
Required SpecializedTraining/Certifications: Public administration with two or more subfields with the ability to teach graduate level courses in areas such as budgeting, nonprofit management, public policy or some other specialized area and the ability to teach undergraduate courses such as state and local government, American government or municipal government.
Required Minimum Work Experience: Minimum requirements: Ph.D. in public administration or a closely related field, with academic and teaching experience and the ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performanceof the Position Duties: Ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in public administration and political science.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications: A specialized public policy subfield such as heath care policy or environmental policy.
