The Department of Human Development and Psychological Counseling has 4 graduate degree programs: a) Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP accredited), b) Professional School Counseling (CACREP accredited), c) Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE accredited), and d) Student Affairs Administration (CAS standards aligned) along with 2 graduate certificate programs: a) Addiction Counseling, and b) Expressive Arts Therapy. The HPC department includes 14 full-time faculty and 2 full time staff members along with approximately 140 graduate students recruited worldwide. - AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a marriage and family therapist in North
Carolina. - Evidence of commitment to and sophisticated understanding of Social Justice and Inclusive Excellence.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Evidence of potential for success in teaching and scholarship.
- Graduated from a COAMFTE-accredited program.
- Knowledge of COAMFTE accreditation standards.
- Experience teaching and providing supervision to graduate students.
- Evidence of MFT-related scholarship.
- Involvement in professional service activities.
- AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a marriage and family therapist in North

- Teach a 3:3 course load on campus, with expectations for teaching MFT courses and providing clinical supervision. Summer teaching is available.
- Serve as field experience coordinator for MFT internships.
- Advise and mentor graduate students in the MFT program.
- Actively engage in the work of equity, justice, and inclusion across university and educational settings.
- Engage in research and scholarly activities relevant to MFT.
- Engage in service to the program, department, institution, and MFT profession.
