Job Summary/Basic FunctionThe Department of Media Arts at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions (#144200 and #156170) at the rank of assistant/associate professor in Video and Film Production. The start date for the position is August 1, 2023. The position is contingent upon funding.
Successful candidates are expected to teach various aspects of the video and film industry, such as preproduction, production, post-production, aesthetics, history, theory, and technology, and have experience with current production tools, techniques, and technology. Teaching undergraduate and graduate students, scholarly activity, university service, and community service are required.
Required EducationA terminal degree in a closely related field is required by the appointment date, or a master's degree in a closely related field with ten (10) years of professional experience will be considered.
