Job Summary

Assists Project Managers in organizing ongoing academic and operational projects. Monitoring project plans and schedules, organizes and participates in stakeholder meetings. Ensures project deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

1. Maintains and monitors project plans, project schedules, and work hours

2. Assists Project Manager in determining project requirements

3. Develops and maintains communication plans, decision matrix, and issues log as required by the project

4. Provides necessary information for project status reporting

5. Organizes, attends and participates in stakeholder meetings

6. Distributes meeting agendas, based on approval

7. Prepares necessary presentation materials for meetings

8. Documents meeting notes and follow up key action items and decisions

9. Provides administrative support as necessary

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Required Experience
One (1) year of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Capable of interacting and working with all levels of the university
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
