Position Highlights

The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH) is seeking applications for a Senior Coordinator, Admission & Recruitment. The position will develop and implement strategies, systems and processes to support the college enrollment objectives. Serve as a point of contact and information for prospective students navigating the application and admissions process. Assist students in their successful matriculation into the institution. The position will also maintain student admissions databases and collaborate on retention issues. As well as collaborate with college communications group to develop marketing materials, strategies and venues.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and support centralized application systems (SOPHAS) and
    University of Arizona GradApp. Serve as a resource for prospective
    students. Collaborate as a member of ASPPH admissions professionals
    group.
  • Review and evaluate graduate admissions applications for
    completeness in preparation for faculty review. Collaborates with
    program directors to schedule application reviews and admissions
    meetings. Counsels applicants regarding admissions decisions.
  • Maintain
    admissions database. Generate application, acceptance, enrollment and
    other pertinent reports for college program directors and administration
    as needed.
  • Serve on MEZCOPH committees to establish stakeholder strategies and manage enrollment goals and responsibilities.
  • Work
    collaboratively with Admissions Recruiter to plan and implement
    programs and initiatives for admitted and prospective students,
    including information sessions. Participate as a team members in the
    activities and events of the Office of Students Affairs (OSA).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to travel in and out of state for admissions and recruitment purposes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a CEPH-accredited College of Public Health.
