Position HighlightsThe interpreter will be transcribing recorded interviews conducted in Spanish. These Spanish transcripts will then be analyzed by the interpreter. The interpreter will have the opportunity to collaborate ill then be analyzed by the interpreter.
The interpreter will have the opportunity to collaborate on the manuscript associated with these data. The interpreter must be able to independently transcribe recorded Spanish into written Spanish, translate written Spanish to written English, and categorize spoken Spanish responses (e.g., Experienced changes at work during the pandemic, yes or no). Ideally, the interpreter will have familiarity with health sciences, as the interviews are on the topic of respiratory symptoms, specifically asthma.
The candidate must be a professional Spanish translator with previous experience that can be confirmed or recommended by a professional Spanish translator who has worked with them or educated them in Spanish translation and can speak to their competence and reliability.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Transcription of interviews.
- Analysis of interviews.
- Translation of short answer responses in survey data from the same project.
- Contribution to manuscript writing.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required. Professional Spanish translator experience, written and spoken.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
