Assistant Professor or Instructor in Criminal Justice, beginning Spring 2023 or Fall 2023

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Professor or Instructor of Criminal Justice (Appointment-Stream) in the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences, beginning Spring 2023 or Fall 2023.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree with several years of applied experience in Law Enforcement or Forensics, or a Master's or Doctorate Degree in Criminal Justice, or a closely related field is required. A strong commitment to teaching undergraduates and experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is preferred.

Responsibilities: Applicants must be able to teach 12 credits per semester, in Criminal Justice at the undergraduate level. Preferred courses include ADMJ 0230 Introduction to Forensic Science, ADMJ 1302 Criminal Law and Procedure, ADMJ 1325 Criminal Evidence and Investigation, ADMJ 1330 Criminal Forensics 1 with laboratory, ADMJ 1430 Criminal Forensics 2 with laboratory, and additional criminal justice classes as needed. Other responsibilities include managing the Crime Science Investigation House and advising students. Candidates experienced working with college students from diverse backgrounds and applied experience in the field of expertise are encouraged to apply.
