To provide primary management and support of the department and divisional technology helpdesk, staffing and administrative oversight of the student public computing spaces, project management over technology aspects of new construction and renovations, system changes and upgrades, staff technical training and supervision of the student technical staff. To provide secondary management and support of the University Housing hard wired and wireless LAN system and serve as technical liaison with other university technical personnel. Evaluate technical processes and provide flexible solutions for use/integration across the division.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, computer information systems, computer science, management information systems, math, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • One year experience troubleshooting computer and related hardware problems.
  • One year experience in technical staff management.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and related software.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn a variety of technical tools to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to document steps in a process and make technology recommendations to improve the process.
