Job Description

The Cook Counseling Center Marketing Manager reports to the Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications in Hokie Wellness, the Director of Cook Counseling, and the Assistant Director for Outreach Prevention and Campus Engagement in Cook Counseling. This person will oversee the day-to-day execution of the marketing plan to coordinate the department's promotional materials, publications, websites, and social media. This position serves as the administrator for social media, including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. Additionally, this position will potentially supervise a team of student employees as the position develops.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, or related field. Experience in marketing, public relations and/or advertising experience that includes areas such as developing a marketing plan; creating promotional materials and publications; experience using a content management system to produce and post web content; and planning special events. Excellent communication skills and professional writing skills with strong editing and organizational skills. Experience with current computer software such as desktop publishing (Adobe Creative Cloud) and database management.

Preferred Qualifications

Work experience in health education, public health, or well-being environment. Previous supervisory experience. Mastery knowledge of website, design, and video editing software and equipment.

$42-45,000, commensurate with experience.
