Job Description

Research assistant/technician for a bacteriology laboratory. The successful candidate will maintain daily operation of the laboratory with guidance from the principal investigator. Other duties will include initiating and carrying out the development and performance of diverse experiments and assays

Required Qualifications

Undergraduate or Master's degree in biological sciences, microbiology, molecular biology, or related discipline. Demonstrated ability to work independently and organize and prioritize work. Excellent communication skills and ability to work closed with other individuals. General knowledge of computers and standard office software.

Preferred Qualifications

Microbiology research experience. Experience working with pathogenic microbes. Knowledge of the safe handling of infectious agents and aseptic technique.
