Position Highlights

The Department of Biosystems Engineering seeks a Researcher/Scientist III. This position will run and update the WINDS model, incorporate data into the WINDS model, and assist with establishment of the online version of the WINDS model. The incumbent will connect the sensor and other soil moisture data to the online version of the WINDS model and write papers. This position may require occasional trips to the Maricopa Agricultural Center for analysis of research experiments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data analysis and incorporate data into the WINDS model.
  • Assist with establishment of online version of the WINDS model.
  • Connect the sensor(s) and other soil moisture data to the online version of the WINDS Model.
  • Writing.
  • Mathematical modeling.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biosystems Engineering or related field or equivalent advanced training attained through professional level experience and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience is required.
  • Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Biosystems Engineering.
