The Department of Information Technology at the College of Medicine - Phoenix is seeking a first-rate technologist to join their team. The Phoenix Biomedical Campus (PBC) Information Technology Services team is committed to creating and delivering an environment that promotes and advances teaching, learning and research. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, deploy, maintain, and support Windows and
    MAC workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer
  • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems
    associated with application software and operating systems; determine the
    source of problems and classify their level, priority and ensure knowledge base
    and tickets are updated to reflect resolution.
  • Maintain inventory of installed hardware and software,
    manage software licensing, and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that any network-attached devices such as desktops,
    laptops, mobile devices and printers are in compliance with university, college
    and other applicable IT security policy standards.
  • Act as a liaison between users and other technical units
    such as 3rd level support, Main Campus IT, Banner IT and NAU IT.
  • Create and manage OS images within Microsoft's Software
    Center (SCCM).
  • Create and manage iOS images within JAMF.
  • Manage and troubleshoot driver/firmware/hardware
    issues. Perform root cause analysis
    based on event logs and crash dumps.
  • Manage vendors to coordinate hardware repairs for computers,
    mobile devices and printers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of
    problems or escalation to 3rd level support.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Desktop Hardware, Software and peripherals.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Desktop Management SW (i.e. SCCM and/or JAMF).
  • AV SW Support.
  • Service Management (Incident and Asset Management).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a mid to large enterprise environment is required.

Preferred Qualifications

* DELL Tech certification.

* SCCM Backend Support Knowledge.

* JAMF Backend Support Knowledge.

* Hands on experience with PowerShell and/or VBS Scripting.

* Experience managing and handling regulated data (HIPAA, FERPA, PCI).
