EDI Event Coordinator (PRN32321B)

COMPENSATION: $47,000 - $49,000

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and as requested


  • Research and schedules event venues & catering vendor
  • Orders supplies for all event related items
  • Speaker & Performer support (research, travel, bios, headshots, etc.)
  • Processes purchases and payments on event related items
  • Event recording support (transcript and caption editing, etc.)
  • Assist with speakers and contracts for NLA Summer Institute
  • Manages web calendar for VPEDI events
  • Support Event Manager in the execution of all events
  • Be able to lift 25+ pounds, to move boxes and supplies
  • Should have a valid driver’s license

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency required (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

PREFERENCES: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or a related area plus 2-3 years of related experience and demonstrated effective event management and/or project management skills; the ability to work under pressure to manage deadlines; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.
