POSITION TITLE: Senior Director of Partnership Operations

Position Summary

Coordinates and oversees the department operations of Avila University’s institutional partnerships through proactive processes and maintaining relationships at all levels to ensure successful student admissions, registration, and retention processes.

Essential Functions

  • Works in conjunction with Avila University staff and our educational partners to create a smooth transition for students entering Avila programs through the partnership network with a focus on the customer/student experience.
  • Oversees planning, budgeting and process documentation for each partner and create a monthly reporting dashboard and provide updates to the Senior Administrative Team.
  • Working with Student Services and other Avila team members; to create a systematic retention and persistence plan for partnership students, working to eliminate all barriers to enrollment and persistence. Implements and manages the plan working with university staff and partners.
  • Creates and implements a sound fiscal plan for the application of student aid and collections of balances owed, not to exceed a loss of 3.5% of partnership revenue to uncollected tuition.
  • Provides administrative leadership for Avila’s partnership program.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President.

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Administration or Business Required, Master’s Preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience working in Partnership Implementation and Student Operations
  • Strong skills in planning, implementation, communication, and collaboration
  • Experience in operations management and working with external institutional partners

COMMUNICATION / ORGANIZATION: Maintains communication with various Faculty, staff, and external constituents in the performance of role. Must be professional in all communications as a representative of the senior administrative team. Utilizes existing technology effectively in the performance of duties.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Functions of the job include: pertinent laws, codes, policies, and/or regulations; personnel processes; curriculum adoption process; program planning and development; and learning styles and curriculum models. Ability is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; often gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize a variety of job-related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is moderate to significant.
