Position Highlights

The Information Technology Support Analyst (IT Support Computing Analyst I) designs, builds, delivers, and maintains technology solutions that enhance the organization's research, learning, and operations. Provides expertise in technology strategy, policies, plans, architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the University's applications, systems, and hardware infrastructure for security and ongoing-customer service operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides front-line support to our customers for PC, applications, hardware, and network issues.
  • Use verbal and written communication skills to provide clear and concise communication, including participation in meetings and technical troubleshooting bridges with internal technical staff, Customer support, and external customers.
  • Implements system modifications to reduce customer problems based on directly related existing knowledge base and support ticket records.
  • Works primarily at the customer's location physically or via remote support tools.
  • Provides support based on supported services or acts as an intermediary between other technical support personnel of similar experience to resolve issues outside the normal scoped services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required
  • 1 year of relevant work experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a field related to information technology, or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, and professional experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training and installing computer systems applications OR planning, acquiring, installing and implementing services OR maintaining system software and hardware.
