Position Highlights

This Instructional Designer I position will be complementing the development of curriculum and tailoring materials for a weight loss intervention for Mexican-origin men and women. Given the target population of this intervention, materials must be available in both, English and Spanish. These materials and program design tool must be easy to understand by all types of individuals no matter their age, educational background, or English/Spanish literacy level. This temporary position will also assist with producing practical materials and visual aid presentations to support intervention curriculum development. Lastly, the individual partaking in this role will review and contribute with standard operation procedures and the creation of training protocols for interventionist to implement the intervention in the future.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Curriculum development and tailoring of weight loss intervention materials.
  • Translation of documents from English to Spanish and ensure health literacy.
  • Material design development and creating of visual aid presentations.
  • Creation of training protocols for interventionist.
  • Assist with standard operation procedures development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required in Education.
  • One year of relevant work experience required.
