Job Description
The APG (Aberdeen Proving Ground) Liaison and Strategic Partnership Coordinator develops strategic partnerships with APG Leaders and other external constituencies to promote the College as the first choice for higher education and training in Harford County; and facilitates and delivers new programming between APG and HCC focusing on workforce and community development
Duties include collaborating with APG senior leadership to ensure the installation understands the College's programming and training opportunities; identifying key programs to meet the needs of APG personnel; increasing partnership opportunities for workforce development programs; identifying internship and field experience opportunities; exploring opportunities to raise the visibility of the College's APG office; exploring partnerships with local industries to benefit the College and the community; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree required
Required Experience
A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required, including demonstrated experience working with and developing relationships with APG and Harford County leaders; and experience developing and implementing academic and/or government partnerships.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong communication skills; the ability to facilitate meetings to advance the College's mission; and intermediate knowledge of MS Office programs are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of military and APG protocols; Harford County knowledge.
General Weekly Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; supervisor to determine final work schedule
