Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duty of the Lab Supervisor will be to support and coordinate multiple sections of molecular biology and microbiology labs in the Department of Biology.
These duties include, but are not limited to:
1) ordering and preparation of laboratory materials and reagents;
2) set-up and breakdown of laboratory sections;
3) maintenance of laboratory equipment and other shared equipment (autoclaves, freezers, shakers, centrifuges, PCR machines, gel documentation system);
4) teaching molecular biology or microbiology lab sections as required.

- Must have a Master's degree in Molecular Biology or a related field, be self-motivated, and possess excellent management, communication, and organizational skills.
- At least two years of experience with molecular biology and microbiology techniques (PCR, DNA and RNA purification, recombinant plasmid construction, blotting, microbial culture, sterile technique) are required.
