West Virginia University Health Science Center is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Recruiting Specialist (Hybrid) for the Department of Human Performance

About the Opportunity

As directed and on behalf of the Vice Dean will act in an official capacity as a representative of Professional and Undergraduate Programs at various recruitment events for potential WVU athletes and general student population via on-campus and off-campus locations.

What you'll do:

Plan, organize, and direct communication plan for student athletes and prospective students within the Professional and Undergraduate Programs.

Serves as the primary recruiter in working directly with Athletic Department of potential athletes into our Professional and Undergraduate Programs to streamline the processes.

Serves as a liaison for professional and undergraduate programs and university groups across the campus.

Position is an active participant in meeting the goals and objectives of the WVU School of Medicine and the Professional and Undergraduate Programs.

Other duties as assigned.

Length of Assignment: Approximately 8.5 months



Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. Master's Preferred.
  • Two (2) years with documented expertise with recruitment of athletes and/or students at a higher education institution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to rapidly learn all academic, administrative, and organization policies and procedures within the affected work area.
  • Ability to handle high stress situations and high student/client traffic.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information regarding faculty, staff, students, clients.
