Reporting to the Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations, the AVP for Advancement will exercise a high degree of strategic direction, creativity, and independence. The AVP for Advancement is responsible for integrating, managing, and establishing short- and long-term goals for DeSales alumni & parent engagement, annual giving and advancement services priorities. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree and CFRE designation preferred
• 7+ years experience in fundraising, preferably higher education
• Supervisory experience necessary
• Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
