Position Highlights
The Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Arizona College of Medicine -Phoenix, is hiring multiple research coordinators to support the RECOVER study and other COVID-19 related research studies. Responsibilities include recruitment, screening, verifying eligibility, obtaining informed consent, and coordinating research participation. The CRC II will demonstrate competence in clinical research skills, problem-solving, priority setting and serve as a resource for others for all aspects of conducting a clinical trial for complex and multi-center trials. Intermittent off-campus visits may be required.This position, which will be located at the Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, is currently undergoing rapid growth and the selected individual will be an important driver of this change.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Enrollment: the primary responsibility in the first year will be to coordinate participant recruitment and enrollment in the RECOVER study and other COVID-19 related research projects following the IRB-approved study protocol. Research Coordinators will utilize multiple modalities for participant recruitment including telephone calls, emails, and community outreach. Potential participants will be walked through a screening process, and eligibility confirmed. Research Coordinators are responsible for ensuring informed consent and compliant documentation of these research activities.
- Research Coordination: Coordinate scheduling and preparing for research visits, creating and filing adequate source documentation, accurate and timely data reporting, completing study procedures per protocol including phlebotomy, and performing quality checks.
- Compliance: All members of the study team are responsible for ensuring compliance with federal regulations for human subject research, University policies, and sponsor expectations.
- Education: All members of the study team are responsible for continuing education relevant to their role. This includes maintaining current human subject research training, attending COVID Grand rounds and other relevant educational seminars, and professional development in clinical research operations. Level II coordinators will help training Level I coordinators.
- Process Improvement: All members of the study team are expected to contribute to process improvement efforts. This may include identifying solutions to everyday challenges, or participating in a process improvement project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required and minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical research experience is required.
- Associate Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required and minimum 5 years of relevant clinical research experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in related field of study which can include public health or other science and health/wellness related programs.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish.* Clinical Trial work experience.* CITI/Human subject's training.FLSA: Exempt
