Job DescriptionBased at the Fauquier Campus, providing informative services and responses to student, staff, and faculty inquiries regarding financial aid eligibility and status. Assist in front office service and provide clear advice in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner to the public, students, and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain FERPA regulations. Update student files interpreting federal, state and college policy and regulations, making decisions based on these regulations with the support of other full-time financial aid staff. Participate in and conduct presentations in classroom settings as well as within the community. Able to manage a high volume of work without a loss of effectiveness.
Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $28,354.00-$40,500.00. Salary will commensurate with education and experience. According to DHRM policy 1.61 Teleworking, effective July 5, 2022, Virginia state employees will return to the workplace. KSA's/Required QualificationsKnowledge: Working knowledge of the principals of state and federal financial aid regulations. Extensive knowledge of computer applications, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management, Internet, and e-mail. Knowledge of filing and records procedures.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in the use of a PC, printer, calculator, fax, copy machine and other office equipment.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain FERPA regulations.
- Ability to multitask, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
