We are currently seeking a Program Coordinator for our Accounting Department on our campus in downtown Manhattan.

Position Overview:

This key position manages all functions of the Accounting Department under the supervision of the department chairperson by providing assistance to the chair in all matters related to the department and the faculty, processing student requests and supervising student aides.

Position Responsibilities:

    • Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and administration.
    • Assist the Chair in department matters.
    • Input, research and retrieve information on the course scheduling system.
    • Assist with budget preparations.
    • Respond to requests from students
    • Respond to the public in general for information concerning courses and administrative policies of the department.
    • Maintain course outlines, exams, and resume for AACSB accreditation.
    • Prepares correspondence and maintains proper filing of department records.
    • Maintain communication with members of the Accounting Advisory Board, scheduling meetings, and keeping records.
    • Researches and provides information in response to inquiries concerning the CPA licensure examination.
    • Orders supplies and books for faculty, advising faculty on matters related to travel reimbursements, faculty colloquia, new faculty orientation, and University policies and procedures.

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Must be proficient in MS Office, and internet applications, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
    • Prior work experience in a University and/or administrative position preferred.
