Position Highlights

The Department of Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies in the College of Education invites applicants for a part-time, non-benefits eligible Limited Term Adjunct Instructor position. We seek an educator with expertise in teaching early elementary grades to teach a course in the Elementary Education teacher certification program. This position will begin in August 2022 and will be teaching TLS 324. The position includes teaching elementary education courses aligned with national standards for elementary teacher certification with an emphasis on equity and social justice, and teaching English learners. Instructors attend relevant program and department meetings. These courses may be offered in person, online or in a hybrid format.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach courses designated by department
  • Prepare syllabus
  • Plan class lectures and assignments
  • Maintain office hours
  • Grade papers and exams
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related subject relevant to class assignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in related subjects relevant to class assignment.
