Office Services Specialist
Located in Manassas, Virginia the Office Services Specialist provides office support for managerial staff and faculty by assisting with administrative operations. Primary duties include purchasing, invoice processing, record keeping and file management.
Administrative support experience in an academic or professional office environment. Fiscal experience related to record keeping and order processing. Strong computer skills with MS Windows, MS Office Suite, Google Suite and other types of software. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy, think critically, and make decisions related to position and appropriate to research operations. Ability to apply procedures and policies related to in-house office practices as well as research related practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Previous business training and/or experience required.
Experience using systems for purchasing and payments such as HokieMart, ChromeRiver, Banner and Ensemble systems. Experience supporting students, staff, and faculty in an environmentally centered, sponsored research operation.
