Position Summary
The University
of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine Department of Dermatology seeks
qualified individuals for a full-time faculty position as a Visiting Assistant Professor in General
Dermatologist. We serve a large, diverse,
medically complex population and are a consultative resource for the state of
New Mexico and the Four Corners region of the Southwest. The Department
provides many services including: general and pediatric dermatology,
phototherapy, laser, dermatologic/Mohs surgery and aesthetic services. We have
a strong partnership with both Dermatopathology and community physicians.
Responsibilities include primarily outpatient Dermatology and evening/weekend
call coverage for inpatient hospital consultations Teledermatology is an evolving
development as well. Opportunities for clinical research are available.

The UNM Health Sciences Center (HSC) is the only academic health complex in the
state and is located on the UNM campus in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor or equivalent
  • Board eligible/certified in Dermatology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in NM
  • Eligible for State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification and federal DEA registration
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
