Position Highlights

Under supervision of the Associate Director for Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator will cultivate and maintain a consistent online brand personality for each of the following Auxiliary Services units: Arizona Student Unions, UA Bookstores, and Parking & Transportation Services. As the Auxiliaries' online personality, the Social Media Coordinator will strategically engage with various target audiences in order to generate awareness and excitement about the Auxiliaries' products and services and inspire action that drives revenue. A well-qualified applicant will have experience managing and developing content for multiple social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok and will be well versed in the latest social media trends and engagement strategies. The Social Media Coordinator must have excellent written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implements a social media marketing strategy for each auxiliary services unit (Student Unions, UA Bookstores, and Parking & Transportation).
  • Oversees a Social Media Assistant and student brand ambassadors, directing their day-to-day activities.
  • Collaborates with the Creative Manager and design team to create captivating digital content that informs, entertains, and inspires action that drives revenue.
  • Coordinates student/volunteer models and maintains their engagement through the implementation of strategic processes and participation incentives.
  • Manages all social media platforms used by the Auxiliaries and ensures consistency between their online brand personalities and other marketing channels.
  • Provides guidance and instruction to support the team's completion of social media campaign content.
  • Records and tracks social media content analytics in order to evaluate the platform strategy effectiveness and recommends changes as necessary.
  • Maintains the brand standards of both the University and Auxiliary Services units and ensures all social media accounts illustrate and bring to life the overall mission and vision.
  • Remains informed on the latest social media trends, best practices, etc. and ensures the auxiliaries' social media platforms stay relevant to various target audiences.
  • Develops creative content for social media platforms as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or
    equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of
    relevant work experience is required.
