Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics of Latin America

The Department of Political Science at Boston College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Comparative Politics of Latin America. The position is open in regard to research focus and methods. Preference will be given to candidates with substantive fieldwork and demonstrated teaching excellence, and a broad knowledge of the region. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching are in the areas of Religion and Politics, Migration and Refugee Politics, Ethno-racial and Identity Politics or Post-Colonialism. This position will complement other academic programs at Boston College.

The appointment begins late-August 2023. Candidates are expected to have their Ph.D. in hand by the start date.
