The University of Arizona's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the position of Business Administrator (Administrative Operations Professional II) on the college Business Affairs team. This position will manage college Foundation accounts, unit finances, grants, program fees, analyze data for reporting, and conduct other business and financial matters. We are looking for someone who enjoys working on a team, thrives in spreadsheets, and can multi-task at a fast pace. It is important that the candidate be able to perform at a high level with transparency and a keen eye for accuracy.
The successful candidate(s) will provide business and financial management to Department Heads, Directors and Principle Investigators. They will apply general business theory and principles in the daily operations of a College of Social and Behavioral Science business center. The position(s) will work with other business personnel in a Business Center to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance and within established policies, procedures, and priorities. This position dual reports to the business center lead and the college Assistant Dean of Business-Finance.
Business personnel in the College of SBS work to provide excellent business support to administrators, faculty, staff, and students. They work independently and collaboratively to provide excellent business management and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and budgeting skills and has experience utilizing financial processing and data management systems, as well as demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, organization skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task working both independently or in a team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all day-to-day business functions
including, but not limited to, disbursements, account maintenance and
reconciliation, procurement, fund transfers, and purchasing card
- Independently manage and control accounting, budgeting, auditing, and other financial or related functions to ensure the financial integrity of the large organizational or academic unit(s).
- Complete financial forecasting, financial planning, and any needed analytical review. Prepare high level financial and budget reports.
- Oversee the review, approval, and reporting of expenditures assigned to the research portfolio. This includes post-award management, effort report certification, and cost share management.Work with faculty to prepare budgets and required certifications for grant proposals.
- Perform human resource functions to include but not limited to personnel hiring, job and employee data changes, and leaves and termination processes.
- Establish efficient business practices and keep up to date with policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience.
- Master's Degree in related field.
