Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Maintains and oversees life safety systems such as fire alarms and engineered systems.

Responsibilities
1. Maintain, diagnose, repair and test fire alarm systems
2. Work with vendors who repair, test and maintain fire alarm systems, engineered systems and sprinkler systems
3. Maintain wet and dry sprinkler systems
4. Maintain engineered suppression systems
5. Maintain and repair emergency lighting
6. Perform fire and life safety inspections

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license

Required Experience
Two (2) years' work experience in a fire and life safety field

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
NICET 1 (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) certification in fire alarms
Familiar with different brands of alarm systems

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Associates degree, Fire Inspector 1 and other NICET certification

Proposed Salary
Pay Grade N18

The budget for this position is between $14.97 and $21.34 per hour. Offers will be based on candidate experience and budget availability.

ABILITIES
Ability to work with people of all levels within the organization
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge and understanding of fire alarm systems and engineered suppression systems
Knowledge and understanding of fire safety principles, risk assessment, hazard analysis, and accident investigation

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
