Job Description
Job Summary
Provide one-on-one business consulting in the areas management, planning and financial analysis. Assists in identifying of local business training needs. Develops and delivers seminars/workshops to meet the business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides in-depth one-on-one business consulting, particular in the areas management, planning and financial analysis; Focuses on working with established businesses.
- Assists in identifying of local business training needs; Develops and delivers seminars/workshops to meet the business needs.
- Provides advice and assistance to other SBDC employees; Assists in training and expanding the knowledge of SBDC Business Analysts and Business Consultants.
- Assists in identifying and networking with stakeholders in the community.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist Director in working with community organizations to achieve program goals.
- Participate and advance within the SWTXB Certified Business Advisor Program.
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- Experience - Three years of business-related experience in a combination of business/economic development, finance, small business consulting, business management, banking, and/or small business ownership.
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered
Knowledge of:
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
- Oral Communication: Effective individual and group engagement with a wide variety of individuals, organizations, and the general public.
- Written Communication: Ability to generate traditional and electronic correspondence
- Execute the mission, vision and values of the organization
Knowledge of:
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
- QuickBooks
- Exercise initiative and appropriate independent judgment.

Salary: $44,912/annually
